BISMARCK, N.D. – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) announced an award of $1,049,037 to North Dakota State University (NDSU) and Antelope Veterinary Service, LLC. The funding will be distributed to the following projects and initiatives:
- Â to NDSU through the Alfalfa Seed and Alfalfa Forage System Program. This funding will support research to identify factors contributing to the persistence of alfalfa and strategies to mitigate the loss of alfalfa stands, particularly in cold environments.
- Â to Antelope Veterinary Service, LLC, through the Veterinary Services Grant Program. This funding will support a project aiming to provide routine herd services and emergency services to ranchers within a 75-mile radius of the practice beginning this fall.
